TMSA Audits & GAP Analysis

TMSA Audit

The Tanker Management and Self-Assessment (TMSA) programme provides companies with a means to improve and measure their own safety management systems.

The programme encourages companies to assess their safety management systems (SMS) against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provides the minimum standard expected (level 1) plus three levels of increasing standards or performance. The self-assessment results can be used by operators to develop phased improvement plans that support continuous improvement of their ship management systems. Companies are encouraged to regularly review their self-assessment results and develop plans for improvement.

Aligning policies and procedures with industry best practice and latest requirements helps companies to improve and attain increasingly higher standards of safety and pollution prevention management.

Novenique performs TMSA audits and can assist operators to set up their TMSA programme as well as reviewing their TMSA rating and their improvement.

TMSA GAP Analysis

OCIMF Tanker Managers and Self Assessment (TMSA) has turned into an absolute requirement for all tanker companies. Novenique have experience of conducting TMSA audit for various oil majors. Based on this experience we offer gap analysis of operator’s management system towards the latest TMSA revision and SIRE 2.0 requirements. The analysis will provide the operators with a clear indication of the present level of compliance. Suggestions and roadmap towards improvement will be provided.

A step by step analysis of existing procedures and status with an effective action plan for development of new procedures and revise the already existing will be provided.

A training and familiarisation session can also be conducted by Novenique to Organisation’s employees regarding the requirements, the compliance status and the developed action plan.

A final audit for implementation will be conducted and results to be analysed and used for further improvement.
